  • Reading First Aid
Reading is a school subject, but learning to read begins at birth. The key is to talk to babies and surround them with the letters of the alphabet.

Reading First Aid

First Aid can be used to treat injuries, or it can be used to prevent injuries from happening.

Reading First Aid works the same way.

Children can fail to learn to read in Grades K-3 and go into remedial reading.

Or they can learn the skills that will prevent reading failure while they are still at home, before they start school.

Vocabulary

A child who does not know  a lot of words will have difficulty learning to read.

Talking, reading, and playing at home from birth to five years builds the vocabulary needed by the beginning reader.

Even busy parents can build vocabulary by talking to their children as they go through the daily routines of bathing, eating, traveling, and  shopping.
